    I’m wanting to sell this reel for the simple fact that I don’t know how to make this odd rubbing noise go away…it could be a very quick/cheap fix! (Still in completely functional condition) reel has light cosmetic scratching and isn’t Geary whatsoever. However when enough tension is applied it starts to make a rubbing noise. $220 IMG_3999.MOV

    Do you guys really think having that bronze hook helps your bite ratio in clear water? I’m from northern michigan where most of our lakes have 20+ feet of vis and I’m curious if the butch brown theory is true.

    20lb vs 20lb, who wins the knot strength battle? ive had some problems breaking 20 sniper in the past.. could have had a bad spool though.

    yes, the reel was in beautiful condition and didnt make the noise for the few days prior i was messing around with it. dont think it was a problem w the reel when i actually received it

    I've had this reel for about a month and haven't actually fished it. spooled it up with line and casted a softbait into the snow just to get a feel of the reel and instantly once i started reeling in and pressure was applied, it started making this weird rubbing/friction based noise from the spool. anyone know what this is?

    Tranx 200hg in great condition. only used this reel 2-3 times in the fall. unfortunately do not have the original packaging/box for this reel. $120 f&f or g&s add fee’s

    rod out of the box feels similar to a 806 fury and I loved that rod for a k9 so hopefully it will be fine.

    it’s not going to damage the rod correct? i know it’s not going to cast the bait as far but i’m not too worried about that

    just got a levaithan mh for tiny klash’s, sneaky pete’s, swavers, etc. curious if i can throw a klash 9 on this rod? i know the heavy would be ideal but can i get away with throwing 4oz on it and not risk doing any harm to the rod?
