I’ve had a rof5 that just would barely sink, almost floating, one easy fix is adding nail weights in it and getting the sink you want.
-
The hardest part of the process is probably gonna be taking the skin off the 250.

Same issue happened to me with an old ambassadeur 6600 bcx, I sometimes have to push the thumb bar back up to make the reel work correctly. Without pushing it back up it wouldn't take in any line and would make a cranking noise.
-
I hang my baits on shelf with steel wire that I bend into a hook shape. Then when they are in use I have a eye surrender bait wrap, but the quality is low and and bends the tails on the soft baits.

Small collection of swimbaits, I like the glides and big soft baits most, im not big on shad baits because the fish in my lake are trout eaters.
-
I got a hawghunter mag trout, and a irod genesis 3 bailey swim. Also a 5.11 rush 12 backpack but its not swimbait related.
-
Im not sure, but probably is
-
Been thinking of melting soft plastics to make the fins on the body.
-
I wanted a big trout glide but didn't want to pay the price, I just cut out the bait and started to the carving.

Agree with all, I used to run a curado 200 but the gears and parts inside the reel were not meant for heavy lures. I use a tranx 400 so I can take it deep sea, and lakes, and the 400 looks a tad bit goofy, but I would rather have that extra line.
-
I throw 250s and hudds with a Tranx 400, handles great, deep spool also. I've taken it saltwater a couple times and rinsed it, works good.

Deps 250 and hudd setup, I also use this rod for saltwater but I change the reel to a penn fathom 25nld2. Works good and handles the big baits nicely. Shimano Tranx 400 Daiwa proteus 76 hf
