I have a Tatula 200 and I use a Red Phillips knot (because it's easy and hasn't failed me yet). I haven't noticed any issues casting with that knot & the t-wing. With a more expensive swimbait I might have to relearn the FG for my 300, which is a pain in the A.

Hi - I bought Valkyrie World Expedition VKC78H and it has arrived. I am going to start with a Daiwa Tatula 300. I'm pretty new to swimbaits. All my other standard bass setups I use braid with fluoro leader. Not sure if I am going to fully trust a leader knot with 2oz+ baits. So I am torn, should I stick with what I like? Braid to fluoro. Or go with a straight flouro to reduce breaks on cast (hopefully rare either way) Thank.

The Valkyrie looks very intriguing that. I probably would not go higher than 4oz baits. May I ask what reel you pair it with?

Hello - I need a rod that breaks down. The F5 Departure looks fantastic but I am beginning to wonder if they'll make them again. Any suggestions much appreciated. Cheers. Jimmy
