  1. Still saving up for an airbrush but happy enough with how the rattle can paint job turned out. The Lets Resin polyurethane resin works great, now I just gotta see if its as durable as the alternatives. Hopefully y'all enjoy this action footage. Really proud of my first ever bait but would always appreciate feedback! GOPR4160.mov IMG_4029.HEIC
  2. I am also using the same master to create a big soft plastic swimbait. I finally have glued the body back together and am now looking to make the tail but am a little torn between the different styles. I instinct is to make a hammer-style square tail since it seems forgiving compared to something like a wedge tail, and is a little ode to my spotty fishing days but most of the 8' plus trout swimbaits I see use the wedge tail. Would love some input on this as well!
  3. IMG_3860.HEICJust finished casting my first lure, and I went all out with a 12" trout glide to target some of the big Bay Area bass (dont worry it has a plastisol tail now). Ive been playing around with resins and have liked the smooth-on 325 but wondered if anyone has tried other resins. I am tempted by the Lets Resin polyurethane resin since I can get it real cheap and was very impressed with their mold making silicon, but I couldn't find the SDS sheet with the specific gravity, etc. Has anyone had experience with it and/or highly recommends one of the more standard smooth-on or alumilite options. Im a broke graduate student so price matters a lot while I'm making tons of these to get the weighting right but I dont want to sacrifice too much quality once I start producing these for friends (and hopefully some of yall) Thanks for the help
  4. Id be insane to not get in on this! Just began casting my first homemade swimbait (12.5in trout glide) but I may just have to fish the 316 for awhile
