  1. It's been a hot one here in Texas. We do not cool down much at night. Water temp isn't much different than the air once the sun gets up it seems. Glide bait in the summer is my jam and loaded up on the 8" 3:16 Gizzard Glide (Texoma Shad). No concentration of fish in one area. Made a 11 stop milk run around main lake points. Eight hits total six of which made it in the boat. There was no mistake when you were hooked up. They T-Boned the Glide every time some of the pics below have the glide showing both hooks embedded each side of the jaw. I finished in the tune of just over 40 lbs. before lunch with my first bite in at 8 lbs. Day 200

We have been rocking 100+ degree days all week and friday hit 107 degree mark. A nice cold front blew in with rain and dropped temps to 74 degrees with a light north wind and the bite was on. There were 6-7 boats out deeper drop shoting and carolina rig fishing in the area I was. Me doing my normal shallow water thing struck big. Hit a Wolfpack feeding shallow! Off of two shallow grass points with the 3:16 weedless rising son in tow. According to my Working Class Zero Water Log Book this was Day 200 on the water for me this year and was a great day. Rolled out at 6:30am at the start of the tourney and was done with a solid limit by 9:00 am. Not wanting to have any dead ones at the weigh in. Went to Baby sitter mode with the fish until weigh in more less, the rest of the day. The water was still hot 88 degrees so I had my hands full. Main problem was live well was maxed with the sack I had. I knew the 5 were close to 30lbs. Holding back for the last 15 minutes of weigh in. Not much good weight was caught then two good sacks went by that I could see. Knowing someone was about to get their heart broken. Weigh in time set my new 5 fish PB for a tourny at 31.03 and BB ended up at 7.88 Good for the cheese. What a day with the Moam Stick!
  3. Working the trio for this Touney Limit all three contributed to the total. Grass and Points giving it up. Started off with the 3:16 Blue Gill Glide and Carp Weedless Rising Son and finished up with the 7" Trout Mission Fish for a 28.29 bag and the cheese. What a way to end July! 4. We stuck a few on the new 3:16 Weedless Rising Sun using the Dirty Gizzard Shad and JCS (James Caldemeyer Special). Water still a litte cold but fish are moving, we have had 3-4 days pushing 80 air termp. The water temp still around 50-55 degrees.
