_nathanweber
has anyone tested the swim on this bait? i know they added fins on the bottom similar to the 250.
Jdcampbell
I have. The swim great. You can get pretty twitchy with the bait and it doesn’t blow out. Not sure why they didn’t do this from the start.
JustBassinAround916
Love the new style 175s'. You can get away with fishing it with 17lb line. I fish them with 7:1 reels. They tend to nose up if you crank to hard but they will mellow out. They also keep a good glide cadence specially with the fins. The bb gizzard shad is a fish catching machine (bass/stripers). I switch the hooks out to size 1 gamakatsu bronze round bends. You can always add sticky weights to adjust sink rate as well. As far as rod choice, ive fished them on my dobyns 795, diawa dx heavy and even on my leviathan omega xh with no issues. When you can get then to commit to a 250 the 175 will usually get them to strike
