I airbrush baits and just started painting a few glide baits. What is the best clear coat for these jointed baits? I’ve dipped and sprayed with KBS but wanted to see if there are other better options. Let me know your experiences.

Thanks!

I’m currently using alumilite UV clear coat. Can’t say it’s the best but my favorite so far. 2 coats seem to be durable and it’s easy and dries fast under uv light. I used devcon 30 minute for a long time but it yellows over time. I used kbs for a little while but it ended up drying out on me when I didn’t get all the air out of the jar I was keeping it in.

KBS, Automotive 2k clear coats, epoxy, and UV resins are the best options. All have pros and cons. I settled on UV resin myself. As for which is best, I thinks its up to you based on what fits your budget, and process. All are durable and look good if applied correctly. Let me know if you have questions about UV resin and lighting for curing it.
