chefchris
I’ve used some, had two break while deep cranking a slammer thru some brush and rock piles. felt the thump and then kept swimming upon inspection the welded side of the treble had broken clean off had it happen two times on the same bait which is weird, stopped using them cause didn’t want to lose a fish. captainhookset
I use the Ryugi Pierce (not brutals) and I love them. That said, I don't fish many baits over 4oz, If you use fast action rods or braid, then these arn't the hooks for you. They are razor razor sharp, and alot of the swimbaits from Japan come with them. I use 16 lb flouro for my baits under 3oz, and 18lb for the bigger baits, with parabolic, moderate to slow action rods. Ryugis are awesome. I also live in NJ and specialize in catching dinks. If I lived in TX or something maybe i'd use another hook. IDK. BittyRanger and Jim137a
