Fishx
Had anyone fished and had luck with the joey shad? I purchased one and at the moment neither love it or hate it. The tail seemed to hinge up and top of the back would contact the top of the front. Not sure if that's how it's supposed to be or not. Seemed to swim and chop decent but it wanted to nose up on the retrieve and would ride to the surface. I pulled the pin to try my hand at tuning it and noticed the top eye screw wasn't in the bait straight and was noticably farther in then the bottom screw eye. Two turns in on the bottom screw and one turn out on the top leveled out the tail section and almost stopped the contact at the top. Seemed to run ok when I checked the swim tonight but it was hard to tell with the wind and chop. I Couldn't find much info on them except people on here trying to sell them. Anyone have any reviews on them good or bad? I already own the bait so I'm going to keep playing with it and see what happens. Just wondering if anyone on here has an opinion on them. AsaProch
Was given one by a member a couple months ago. Wasn’t crazy about it at first but spent some time tuning it and it’s becoming a staple for me. Especially seems to entice smallies in current. I’ve got mine tuned pretty tight and can get a good long glide from it even in heavy current. I did have some issues with the nosing up and because it was a pretty heavy sink I didn’t want to add much lead. I ended up switching to some light trebles and throwing some led tape and the front and that helped a lot. IMO there are better chop style glides out there, but the tighter joint configuration is killer. Also a snap improved the glide for me exponentially. Fishx
Funny mine sinks incredibly slow. I even put two 90# rings and gamakatsu EWG treble hooks on it. I'll keep playing with it. I see it's potential I just need to get out dialed too where the fish like the way I present it. They sell out fast at the hook up tackle so there are other who obviously like seemed weird I couldn't find any reviews on them. Thanks for your input I appreciate it
Fishx
Not big ones but both were aggressive takes paralleling the bank. Thanks AsaProch for the response. I changed my retrieve. I showed it down and let it glide off a little more on each handle chop then mixed in two to three fast hits. That seemed to be the magic trick to trigger bites. I'm starting to like this glide now that I'm getting it figured out. AsaProch and CastingWithCoop

Splitshot
Im having trouble getting one of mine to swim the nose sinks way faster than the tail has a ton of body roll and if you try to burn it it just pops right up to the surface. I have another one that swims great. Iv tried suspend strips different hardware and tweaking the joint. Iv got it kinda swimming now with a heavy hook on the back but still nothing like the other chad. Iv sent him a couple of messages through his site with no response. Maybe he’s busy with the gathering coming. Anyone else had trouble getting in touch with him?
