Bloodkitty
Does anyone know? Searched to see if it had already been discussed, but didn't find anything.
Adusak
Mike posted a rigging video about the hangman kit on YouTube. It basically allows you to rig the tyrant in multiple ways.

Bloodkitty
No, sorry, I wasn't being clear with my question. I meant what is the thing he calls "the bubble" that he sticks into the cavity to make the bait float made from? What kind of material is it? lux036
Its just resin with bubble powder. It allows resin to float. Same stuff that hudds or hawghunter uses to keep there softbaits upright. Bloodkitty
ikaika
If I wanted to try and diy something for a Tyrant I’d probably start with shaping a chunk of rigid closed cell urethane foam to fit the cavity and seeing how it performs. I’ve got some two part foam that’s a 15lb density and incredibly strong, but there’s a lot of lower density ones you can find that would be even more buoyant since strength isn’t really important here. David R
I was thinking off cutting open an old hudd and trying to use that. I hope in the future he sells the floating piece by it self. I do not need the other stuff that is with it Bloodkitty
Bloodkitty
Thank you for the info, fellas.
bpm2000
Haven't gotten around to it yet but was just gonna cut a chunk off a yoga block and see if that works. Anyone have some rough dimensions of that piece? Bloodkitty and ikaika
LGS
Any update on this diy thingy? I guess not enough hangman kits were made for the tyrants.
bpm2000
I've fished mine with the foam from the yoga block sealed inside. I tried to roughly cut the shape and size as similar as I could to what he showed in the rigging video. It does float the bait and tracks correctly with the appropriate amount of nail weights distributed (I currently have the two cheek and rear vent nails I think). It is a pretty slow grind floater - any more than a creep and it starts to blow out a bit and the weight of floro line with also drag it down a bit on the end of a long cast with my current iteration but it works as I wanted. You'll have to obviously play around with the size of the float and the nail weighting but it can be done. Now what I really need is suggestions for what can be used for those pins he uses to keep the hooks held down...
Bassnbuds
Just cut a paper clip for the pins
chevro1et
I have made a bunch of pins from single strand wire. Much smaller diameter than a paper clip. bpm2000
Loudsplashbassn_
Heard spray foam on a piece of wire then remove wire, not sure how big the cavity is but has anyone tried the nates line thru rigging on it that Jared showed? Figured that would work chevro1et
