flaswimbaiter
Thought I would share one of many recent failures. I know what I did wrong but didn’t realize until it was done. I believe the concave portions of the joints were not deep enough to create enough turbulence. The bait had no head movement even with a lip. I tried so many different mods but nothing helped. I am going to try again eventually and hopefully next time it will work. It’s just frustrating cause I carve by hand and it takes so long to finish. I also failed on a duck bait with a prop tail. Jinxd12
Throw a lip on it and force it to move! Cool bait, don't give up on it!
danthefisherman
The worst…nice carve though. Next one will be better all around I can feel it! flaswimbaiter
lux036
Many lipless jointed baits have zero head movement. It's just the natural swim of these style baits. I've made some jointed shad baits with the same issue. Without a lip, the body will move but the head just cuts through water. flaswimbaiter
azsouth
If the bait had no movement with a lip the joints are not free enough.
