kilog
That sucks. The way companies rate their rods always confuses me.
Mossypumpkin
Iv never fished one, but that should be more than enough rod to throw a bait like that. Is it your first swimbait rod? I know when I got my crucial I thought 6oz would be it's max, but I can throw about 8 on it. Takes getting used to feeling it load up. Beaumb
I've had mine for about three years now. Thrown everything from 6" soft baits to hudds to ss 250 all with no problems. Even threw my 13" deadtwitch with it before. Actually, I take that back, I lobbed my deadtwitch with it before.
Brian.Colby
I've thrown baits up 8oz on my large swim without any issues for about 2 years now.
Triv
Ive got nothing but good things to say about iRods. I would double check the product number and make sure you got the correct rod. For the money, you cant beat them!
Bassinthesouth
I'm throwing it on braid on a Cardiff 300 would that have anything to do with it
NorCalBass
I'm throwing it on braid on a Cardiff 300 would that have anything to do with it no, probably not. how hard and how are are you trying to cast it? let the rod load up then lob it out there oppose to trying to cast it like you would conventional stuff. the rod has plenty of power for that bait. Fourxquad1
I have a Fred's Crank launcher Irod and I can toss big baits all day with no problems.. Great rod in my opinion...
ILIKEBIGBAITS
let the weight of the lure and the action of the rod throw the bait. dont try to sling it like you would a crank bait.
