Swimbait_Max
I bought the Diawa lexa 300 to use for throwing bigger baits for bigger bass. I got more than I hoped for from this reel that I hoped would be a good "starter" for swimbaiting. The Diawa Lexa 300 has caught me tons of bass on the 6 inc baits but the last 6 months I've really dialed in on swimbaits and began to throw 8 inch hudds and I gotta say it handles outstanding! Overall I think it's the best investment I have ever made in fishing. Now that the lexa 400 has come out I'm hoping it can be a reel that can handle bigger baits like the tylure, triple trout and savage gear swimbaits. If anyone owns one may I have some input on them? I'm wondering if it's worth the money to buy a lexa 400 or another lexa
thedonnguyen
the 400 is significantly larger and heavier than the 300...i would stick with the
elnicko
The 300 will handle all the baits you listed and then some. No need for the
Top Ramen
Just FYI, you can get a complete spool assembly for this reel from Daiwa for about $30. They are easy to swap out so you can change your line out in about a minute or so. Anthony Notaroberta

Bass_tank4
The lexa 300 will handle the bigger baits I throw deps250 ,3:16 8" fs,hudds, triple trouts on mine and handles them great. The 400 is just to big for my liking
