Warsaw
Hey guys, my swimbait journey keeps expanding and I had a couple of questions regarding the bigger trout baits. I'm looking into getting a Mother, Hinkle trout and probably a KGB King and a 3:16 Beast. Are there any others of the magnum sized baits that are the main recommendations? Question: What do the Hinkle trout's normally go for? Most guys seem to post that they want you to PM them a price when they come up. Also, I know the Mother is 10.5oz as advertised, how heavy is the Hinkle? I've been throwing a Deps 250 and Andromeda on a Dobyns 908 which feel awesome on that rod, but want to make sure that this rod will throw those baits equally well or should I pick up another stick? I got the latest XXH LDC and it seems to be maxed out on those 6oz baits, I've got other 3-8oz rods that feel like they are over taxed on a 6oz bait, so I would want to make sure that I have a rod that can toss these well. I don't skimp on tackle that I need but also don't want to buy a rod that's not heavy enough because I've got plenty of rods in the H/XH range. Jim137a
The Hoog and @Ds.attack.rat 12” trout glides are phenomenal big profile trout baits weighing about 10 oz each. Hoog is pictured on top and the @Ds.attack.rat on the bottom Another recommendation would be a DRT ghost weighing about 9 oz.

Here are the weights of a couple of the baits you mentioned and a few others in a similar size category: Hiro 13” trout, Sly Guy 12” trout, Dockrat, Pizz DDT. I have a beast I can weigh later as well. danthefisherman and ATA
Warsaw
Wow thanks for taking the time to weigh all of those baits. And yes I messed up and put this in the wrong forum, if a moderator can move it that would be awesome.

JacksonF
The Pizz full size ddt trout is awesome, it’s 11” but only weighs around 7oz so it’s a lot easier to throw for long periods of time but still has a big profile bigbass45 and Jim137a
