roadworkahead
It has been a while since I've been on here but would appreciate some reel advice from those in the know. I have Conquest 905 MBR. Somewhat of a do all heavy rod. Main use will be 6" Magdraft and 5" spark shad. I'm considering a Shimano Conquest 200HG, 22 Excense DC and a 23 Antares DC MD. Like the idea of a DC reel for longer more accurate casting and reel weight. Will need the line capacity for heavy mono at times. Thoughts? It will restrict the distance more than a well trained thumb and properly set brakes. LowSpinner and 119bowhunter

It might be nice for casting in the wind but I would lean towards the conquest.
roadworkahead
Thanks for the advice. Guess the next question would be the line capacity of a 200. Enough for 16-18lb?

Yes. Daiwa 200 or Shimano? They have different capacities.
roadworkahead
Will definitely go with the Conquest. HG or XG?
Mml420
The best reel for what you are looking for is a zillion hd 1520 chevro1et
dylanaiken
don't let the daiwa goons sway you brother lol. I'd say the HG for soft baits. easier to slow roll, more torque to grind em in.
