DMV Lizard Wizard Posted March 13 Report Share Posted March 13 I took my Native Ultimate FX12 with side mounted motor out for the first time this morning. I run a Newport kayak motor on a railblaza transom motor mount attached to each of my rails behind my seat. I counterweight the motor with a 100ah lithium on the opposite side of the kayak. Up front I have a 6” Garmin running off a 54ah lithium, also counterweighting the motor. It runs better than I imagined. It tracks straight and turns on a dime. I was able to mark structure and pull a quick U turn and stay right on top of it. I was able to troll at a max of 3.7 mph. No fish today, but the shakedown was a smashing success.
