oh ok
Fishing central VA also, the last couple weeks I would love to snag something like that just to put a smile on my face. Nothing wrong with that!

everythingthatswims
Fishing central VA also, the last couple weeks I would love to snag something like that just to put a smile on my face. Nothing wrong with that! My friend and I laughed for a solid 5 minutes when I caught that bluegill, because we were in an area where we had seen a big one earlier, and when I felt a thump (yes it actually thumped it), I said "FISH!" but soon after I swung I realized what had happened. We saw plenty of big fish (4-8lbs), but they seemed to still be inactive. The fish under 14" were on fire, but I caught them using something I'm not allowed to talk about on here haha
wallyc
Maybe you should have left em struggling to get free. I could picture a largemouth engulfing the whole deal, just like a toilet flushing. It will probably cost you $27.00 to get that fish mounted.... This fish ate a bluegill that my little brother was reeling in. Somehow the #8 hook found its way out of the bluegill and into the bass's mouth. Not bad for 4lb test.
