WABASSER
Last week I received a slow sink Mattlures Hardgill from a member on here. Thing is sweet! Today was my first day taking it for a swim. Hit a lake I haven't fished yet this year. There were bluegill EVERYWHERE. Most of the fish in my area are still in prespawn. Took a little time getting to know that bait figuring out what the fish want. I seen this fish following the bait so I paused and she smacked it. Still getting started with swimbaits. I know this isn't a monster at all but its a confidence booster for sure! Also forgot to get Lexa_SU in the vid but oh well

Top Ramen
Nice vid; thanks for posting it. Took a little time getting to know that bait figuring out what the fish want. I seen this fish following the bait so I paused and she smacked it. In my experience, with gill baits, pausing them is one of the best ways to provoke a strike from a follower. Even better, if you can pause it and let it hang near an obstacle, like a boulder or ledge or weed line or even the shore, it will almost always generate a serious strike. With gills, giving the fish the opportunity to 'pin' it can be deadly effective.

They're probably my favorite bait to fish.
