BassAssassin49 Posted August 22, 2011 Report Share Posted August 22, 2011 hit the Carlsbad kelp for an afternoon with a couple buddies. First cast I had a donkey on but came unbuttoned. It slowed down alot but they still couldn't stay off the hardbait. They are really drawn to the big baits similar to largemouth. I had a nice yellowtail tracking the mackeral but flared when he saw the boat. One of my buddys that came is just getting into fishing and he stuck this juve C bass, I was stoked for him.
