johnnnydukess
With that being said...Has anyone found a "Low Profile" 300 series reel that can handle say over 6.5 oz's I'm looking for one that is suitable for the Deps 250 I recently got... Bout lost it twice because a massive backlash... I know I have the wrong rod for it(On order)...but what the correct reel to pair it with??? or is a round reel style my only true option??? Okuma Komodo 364 is a little bigger in the hand then the Lexa but weighs about the same. Still a low profile reel. It has been said that the Lexa needs to be upgraded to handle baits heavier than 6 OZ in the long term. Where I've heard from multiple sources that the Komodo has ability to handle the heavier stuff with the stock internals. I haven't had the chance to use my Komodo much yet to have some concrete feedback but I am pleased with it's performance thus far.
R8R
Bought a used lexa about a month ago and found bearings very noisy, replace with Boca orange seals and found the noise went away and threw a 2.3 ounce bait 134 ft, over 40 yards pretty impressive, will see how long it will last.
