Mason
Anyone fish these?
chefchris
I love mine and have taken a bunch (12-15 fish) on one bait and had numerous hits and it still looks great, some teeth marks but no tears. The cost is $25, and you can get any pattern you want, and if Joe can paint it hell make it happen, super nice guy to deal with. I just ordered a bunch more today in some custom colors. I like the standard bluegill color, medium sink the bait does sink slightly nose down, which is good if you want to bed fish, but i dont, i added a small nail weight towards the back to help it sink level and on the pause, it will sink level. if you do get a rip/tear you need to use RTV silicone to fix it, ( not mend it or hudd bond) make sure the bait is very dry and allow 3-4 days for it to dry. You need a rod with a good tip section to really set the hook, i was using an okuma guide select and the tip section just didnt have the power to drive the hook home, switched to using the LDC and no issues. The hook is sticky sharp, if you wanted to you could probably open the hook up a little, but I never bothered. cant go wrong with any of Joes baits, quality and high customer service. Im not affilated with real prey in any way besides buying and fishing his stuff. wallyc

Mason
Thanks guys. What does the action compare to? Can you fish it like a jig or is it more of a swimming bait?
1234567
This is a good bait. It catches all sizes and the durability has been great. I have fished it like a jig and have hits while its sitting on the bottom and sometimes that way was more effective then swimming it. Its a fun little bait and recommend it. Like said up top joe is a stand up guy.
wallyc
I bought a bunch of Joe's baits, and, love the Golden Shiner. It's a natural baitfish in Massachusetts and gets bit.

What I like most about his baits is you can store them how ever you want and they wont lose shape and they last forever it seems . im all about customer service and this guy gets a A+ ill buy his baits just based off that ( they are fish catching machines) reather then a as&&&@ that has bad customer service with a good product Edited May 28, 2015 by JeremyW floridaswimb8er and JTSwimbaitMan
