F.Rizzo Posted December 29, 2014 Report Share Posted December 29, 2014 Depends on how I am fishing, but if it's topwater, I hesitate and watch the line move on the surface of the water, reel down to it and set it hard. If it's a faster moving bait, I set the hook right away as soon as I feel the hit. Sometimes I will set the hook again to drive the hooks in deeper.
