Rmoney15
Looking for some insight, I recently ordered a Daiwa DX Heavy, can't decide if I should swap it out for XH or not. Its rated 2-8 oz, and I know I probably wont throw much over that weight if any. But I got a few 250s, 316s and some Hudds. Thinking maybe I should swap it for an XH if available? What do you guys think?
ETBA
I bought an extra heavy for my 250's and 8" hudds, and really like it. The heavy seemed softer, more like my 806 and a bit underpowered for those baits. I handled them both in store before making my purchase. If it was me, I'd get the x-heavy. I'm sure some other guys that have the heavy model can give more insight as to what that rod can handle. Tbernz
Rmoney15
ETBA thanks for the input, of course the XH are out of stock now.. Guess I have to just use the H for a bit. Thanks for the input
BBF_Baits
I would get an xh I generally don't pay attention to the weight ratings for example the okuma xh says it's rated 2-10 but there is no way I would throw a 10 ounce bait on that rod. It can barely handle a deps so I would go xh bdpettit
bigpoppabass
If u r going braid u should always go with something a little lighter than u might think.
