SwimbaitSam123
I finally broke the curse on my 9inch slammer this morning. I've hooked up with fish on this bait 4 different times and never could keep them pinned I finally got one to the shore. Not sure of the weight because I didn't have my scale with me. I'm guessing around 6lbs Rjoyal, MarkH024, gradycodd and 19 others

wallyc
That's a nice bass Sam. Just wondering if you changed out the stock hooks after you missed fish ? I always put Forged Gamma Magic Eye hooks on my Slammers. Seemed to get better hook-ups...

But while I was up in Maine Grady gave me Decoy Quattros and I still missed fish. So I'm pretty sure it was cursed lol

So I'm pretty sure it was cursed lol Sometimes it just takes a while for a Slammer to get seasoned...look at how long it took the Traveling Slammer to start sticking respectable fish on a regular basis! Nice slammer fish!

mcaetano2905
I finally broke the curse on my 9inch slammer this morning. I'm guessing around 6lbs Screenshot_2015-08-22-09-09-16.png Nice fish! I haven't caught many swimbait fish, but my biggest was on a 7" Slammer (you can see it in my profile picture). From this experience and from what I see others do there's no doubt it's one of the best swimbaits for big fish (and numbers too!). It also proves that a swimbait doesn't need to have a shape a color exactly like a fish to catch a lot of big bass. Many times the action/water displacement/sound is more important. By the way, I caught that fish in water with 1ft visibility. Edited March 28, 2016 by mcaetano2905 SwimbaitSam123
