HopscotchMan Posted January 8, 2016 Report Share Posted January 8, 2016 Fortunately all of the warm weather has kept the ice off the lakes til now up here in Michigan. First time I've ever been able to fish open water in December. Me and my buddy had an itch to get out and fish while we still could and I'm glad we did. he stuck a couple on the s waver before I could get bit on the 6 inch hudd. We kept at it even though our hands were frozen. I was super stoked when I finally got thumped by my new pb. It may not be That big to some at 4lbs 10oz but it's the biggest largemouth I've been able to land.
