Green weenie Posted February 1, 2016 Report Share Posted February 1, 2016 Just got a production heavy and an xh. I throw hudds, mags, ospreys, 175,250, punkers, and matts glide trout. Which rod works better for which baits. What reels and line do you suggest for each as well. Thanks SU. Looking for a fun late winter/spring. Ceaser Posted February 1, 2016 Report Share Posted February 1, 2016 I use em both. The H and XH are pretty close when it comes to flishable bait size id say. The XH i use with tophook baits and my larger hardbaits. 5-7ozs. I also use big game on the XH for hardbaits because it stretches alot. the production xh is a pretty stiff set up but its done me well. The H is like my utility rod. Does alot well. I fish baits from 3ozs to 6ozs. The xh handles that size well too but its too stiff for the small trebles IMO. ive been using these rods since the productions were released... A few years i think?
