tckwilson
Just wondered what you guys go to color for this lure is? Thinking of getting one and wanted to check here first. I will be fishing it in some waters that have trout, and some that don't. Looking for the color that works everywhere, like the lite trout on the s-waver. Thanks in advance

flyforfish21
Blue trout I think I have, no trout where I fish most of the time, and they love that color. Bass pattern is a good choice if you can find one.
evans_usmc69
I like the blue trout as well and also the purple trout which is a good mix between a shad and a trout. I would suggest not buying two different colors in the same size but instead getting 2 different sizes, preferably a 7" or 8" and a 10". There's not a big size difference in the 7" and 8" but a huge difference between the 8" and 10". I got bit really fast on the 7" and 8" but it took me a lot longer to figure the 10" out. I had to put everything else aside and dedicate an entire day to the 10" before I really figured it out and got bit on it, but it was definitely worth the effort. As far as my go to color though, it's a 10" big eye clear water trout repaint that I traded a magnum for. For whatever reason, it just gets bit, even with the paint starting to chip off of it. smalliebigs
Kokanee. Works for trout, shad and herring. I've caught fish on it in ponds that didn't even have any of those. I like the old herring color also, very close to Kokanee. evans_usmc69
