DaveM
What are you guys throwing and catching them on down here in our grassy lakes around the eel grass? I just ordered some WRS and mission fish and rising son top hook in Blue gill. I fish mostly the St Johns river and Lake George around submerged eel grass and dollar pads. Will the top hook RS come through the grass ok?
Christiantaj
weedless rising son has been putting in work for me recently, as well as the savage gear line through baits.. but I've been fishing the WRS in the bluegill color and coming out with at least 4 5+ pound fish a trip.. just hitting lakes and ponds around the orlando area. shore fishing mostly, sometimes in a kayak/canoe/jonboat. the bait will definitely make it through grass and other obstacles alright, just make sure you trim your knots to the very end otherwise they will snag grasses and other things. not horribly but it can ruin a cast. bassing305
DaveM
I have to order some more WRS only have 1 left in white. Was bank fishing a local neighborhood pond and the one was testing/using was cut in half by a turtle. I was pissed. Can't wait to get on Lake George to try them out. Do the top hook RS work ok down here coming through the eel grass?

BiteTheBullet
My WRS (white) been getting a lot of action in my two trips with it but haven't landed one yet. Buddy had a pickerel destroy a rotten tomato BTW thought it was a nice bass lol.. His top hook RS does snag in the grass BUT I see him pulling back on his rod right on the landing to skim it out until he gets some space to work it ( no fish yet). Same thing with weedless and have been getting bit right after the skip or slide. Also had some luck doing the same thing with billed G2 shell cracker. OkeechobeeJC
Weedless Rising Sons worked awesome for me specially Bluegill color in Lake Okeechobee on Jan.5 but you can fish any swimbait you like around the deeper weed lines and open water ledges with zero issues. If you get tangled up in the weeds you just fetch them out and fire again when ready. There's a lot of matted areas but you can accurately throw around the edges of the thick stuff for sure. OkeechobeeJC
Plenty of deep areas at Lake Okeechobee to throw swimbaits....plenty! Lurejerk, Kyle Hennum and Darth Baiter
