Hbnel5on
Looking to get some opinions here. Going to pick up a rod for smaller 6-7 inch baits and Alabama rigs. Not looking to spend a killing on a rod I've narrowed it down to a dobyns fury 795 or the diawa do series 8 foot heavy. Both have similar ratings of weight and line so I guess it's personal Preference. Can I get some input?
CCMD
I have the 795 Fury and love it. Tough to beat for the price. I haven't fished the Diawa, so no first hand comparison, but I have been exceedingly pleased with the Fury. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. northeast_trev
SD032
I am very pleased with my 795 Fury!
ETBA
I've had both rods and prefer the fury myself. The daiwa isn't bad, but the fury just seems to be a better made rod IMO.
jhillman88
I have a diawa and i love it. throws 6 inch hudds a mile and for open hook baits it is great has tons of tip and sensitivity with a strong backbone.
Hbnel5on
Tough decision. Will the 795 handle 6inchhudds?
Gavin721
i throw 6 inch hudds on my fury just fine but i think the sweet spot on the fury is hudd 68s
Hbnel5on
That's what it would be not the regular 6 inch. 68s and 6-7 inch glide baits or jointed hard baits and punkers
SEMassBass
The Fury is a great rod for 68's, I love mine and would buy again. Never used the DX. There a lots of threads on this topic.
