bassing305
I had a softshell turtle bite a chunk out of one of my Hudds, but never hooked a turtles hind leg with a swimbait like that!

FishDr
You must have been really slow-rolling it for a turtle to get hooked in the leg. Cool colors on the turtle!
bassbass
True. About 6 turns of the reel I felt a light hit and set the hook which didn't feel right. Almost like bouncing off a log, then felt the pulling but it didn't come up so I was thinking gar. There where ottors in the area and I was really hoping it was not one of them. I'm with you there - you definitely don't want to try to unhook 30-lbs of angry, writhing otter - not with their weasel like speed and teeth!
