Line size

For those who run the risk (reward?) of pike or musky hits on your swimbaits - do you use steel leaders? If not, have you ever lost a bait on a line getting cut on a tooth?

I use 20# Fc sniper for almost everything but I’m pretty limited in the rod department I need the line to be pretty universal. I think you could get away with 15# no problem on a 68 or other small soft baits. My advice would just to be retired often, get bit retie, get a snag retie, drag your bait through some questionable timber a couple times check your line retie if needed.
