OkeechobeeJC
So starting on March 29th the new saying here on the Black Market will be...... "Pay Pal gift or you cover the 4.4% fees" jakevlastnik and Gilgamesh
deaknh
It looks like the only thing affecting guys here might be the fee increase, but it only applies to transactions done involving someone outside the U.S.
deaknh
We are changing the standard transaction fee for sellers selling goods or services online to buyers outside the U.S. from 3.9% to 4.4% plus the existing fixed fee based on the currency. Stingray23
How about everyone just come up with a price that includes all these fees and shipping in their asking price? Its really annoying. daminator, Esmin23, Tuco and 2 others
OkeechobeeJC
Ed - So because it really annoys you.....the seller should be the one responsible for adding the 4.4% fees to the sales price instead of you just adding these fees to your goods & services invoice? If you don't trust the seller enough to Pay Pal gift him then that's your issue thus you should be the one covering yourself with the 4.4% fees kapeesh paisan? pzoutdoors
I thought it was interesting that bullet #3 under the "updated items not eligible for purchase protection" is "payments sent using PayPal's Friends & Family functionality", which would insinuate that it has been covered up until this point. Surprise anyone else? Edited February 13, 2017 by pzoutdoors
s020638
JC is correct. The only one who benefits from a non gifted payment is the buyer. So if you want the insurance that paypal offers you should pay for it.
bassbass
It was never covered before when paying with friends and family.
bassbass
I think Ed was saying for all the people selling baits should just post the price including fees. So if you want $100 and add 4 or 4.5%, just post $105 PayPal as goods TYD and be done. Stingray23, gcopple, Esmin23 and 1 other
OkeechobeeJC
I think Ed is new and doesn't feel comfortable Pay Pal gifting as all of us do when we start on Swimbait Underground but until you learn to trust and recognize the SU members who don't represent a transactional high risk it falls on you to cover yourself with the 4% goods & services fees. Esmin23
I don't think Ed is disputing that the buyer should pay the 4 percent. Let's not jump to conclusions Stingray23 and gcopple

pzoutdoors
It was never covered before when paying with friends and family. That's the impression I was under, but their use of the work "updated" in this document suggests that wasn't the case.
