flaswimbaiter
I wish, no some underwater structure, I am going there tomorrow with a rake and my waders to see if I can retrieve it but I doubt it.
GrantG
That sucks man. Were you fishing from shore?

flaswimbaiter
Yeah, I am a shore fishman most of the time. I knew it was a matter of not "if" but "when" I would lose one, I was just hoping it would not be so soon.

flaswimbaiter
I went back with a rake and one of those expandable rods with the cutter on the end for chopping limbs and covered that whole area, but no luck. Man that water was cold, If I knew exactly where it was I would probably swim for it.

Man that water was cold, If I knew exactly where it was I would probably swim for it. - That sucks Dave. Another thought would be to launch a cast net out and saturate the area. Our Ya'll-Marts here in the midwest carry them. - It worked great for me to retrieve a pricey swimbait a while back; when nothing else worked. But, I was on my boat and had room to twist/launch that thing around. - Good Luck to yah, don't give up on it!
flaswimbaiter
I thought about trying that but with all the sticksups I could lose my net that cost more that the bait. I might do it anyways.
echoedd
I feel your pain man, I lost a few freestyles this year and just a couple of days ago lost my real deal. Its part of the game.
boomah21
Yup so far this year I am down 2 fs shads and a SS rd.....with a mixture of plenty of soft baits like rising sons and hudds.
colbypearson
think about it this way, if we were all still worm draggers and conventional anglers, we still probubly would have lost more in hardbaits, soft baits, jigs, lead, and hooks than all the swimbaits lost this year combined it still sucks
