Rangermike
I've had some good follows and hits on the deps 250 but I want something mid size I'm just missing alot of hookups. The 175 is a little smaller than I want. Suggestions for something close to 250 action slightly smaller 253caster

BigSlant
phoney frog shad.. about an 1" shorter and 1oz lighter.. Great swim Rago has the stubby glideator I think? 7".. but I think the consensus on the swim is go with the 9" Negotiator is a lil bit bigger than the 175.. completely different swim tho

pizz
The top bait is the new Beef Glide 8.5†4.5 oz trout profile The bottom bait is the Shadley 8†4 oz Shad profile Just an idea if you wanted a bait specifically custom built for your needs. northeast_trev, BOZ, Low&Slow and 4 others
253caster
The 8.5 Hiro is hard to beat if your looking for a bait between the ss 175 and 250. Soft tails are a "zippier" bait with a bit wider glide and require less action to get them to respond. I fish mine slower and use pauses and reel turns to make the bait cut and dart out. The hard tails have more of a slalom motion and a bit tighter glide. I prefer fishing it faster on a straight retrieve with occasional pauses or twitches of the rod tip. Brock said he should be working on a new batch here soon so hit him up and get on the list if your interested. You wont regret it!
Mossypumpkin
Agree on the 8.5 Hiro. Similar action I think to the 250. I like the Hinkle shad a lot
