VanBass1707
Hi guys I am looking to purchase a new swimbait rod, now I dont know if you guys know but we arent spoilt for choice when it comes to Swimbait Tackle in South Africa. Now one of our better local tackle shops sell Cashion Rods, I know of them, never used them. They have a Cashion Elite Swimbait Rod, Specs 7'11", Mod Fast, XH 17-80, 1-4oz. Any comments on this rod? And then I can also get a 13 Fishing, 8ft H, Fast, 4-8oz. Which one would you rate is the better one, obviously the two are different and will have different applications. Im looking for a rod to throw bigger glide baits on.
NEbucketmouth19
If you are talking about the Muse Black I would not recommend it for glides, I got mine this year and it's a true fast action, I don't throw anything with treble hooks with it. sammer_
I think the Cashion rod that you are talking about is a flipping and pitching rod. I am all for using a rod for my swimbaitery that is not marketed to do so, but I would not use a rod that is only able to handle 1-4oz to throw glide baits. Many glide baits are more than 4oz. As far as the brand goes, Cashion does make some pretty nice rods. I have a 7' MH with the micro-guides that I use for weighted and weightless plastics, and it is great. Super strong and super light. 10/10 would recommend, just not for throwing glides.

How do you like the Muse for soft swimbaits like the Hudd 's ?
