Hi guys I am looking to purchase a new swimbait rod, now I dont know if you guys know but we arent spoilt for choice when it comes to Swimbait Tackle in South Africa. Now one of our better local tackle shops sell Cashion Rods, I know of them, never used them. They have a Cashion Elite Swimbait Rod, Specs 7'11", Mod Fast, XH 17-80, 1-4oz. Any comments on this rod? And then I can also get a 13 Fishing, 8ft H, Fast, 4-8oz. Which one would you rate is the better one, obviously the two are different and will have different applications. Im looking for a rod to throw bigger glide baits on.

I make my own using Stainless Steel welding wire, and I just twist it tight so its like a screw, and then epoxy them in!

Hi Massbass10, I felt both of them and I tend to agree with you, the Catala did def feel a lot better, the Millionare felt cheaply made.

Hi guys I've got an option of the following two reels for my 8ft Fenwick AV 3/4 - 3oz swimbait rod. A mate of mine is selling a Daiwa Millionaire s 300 and a Shimano Catala 200, which one would you guys recommend or suggest would be the best for my rod?

Hi Guys Hope you all well? I wanted to ask, what would be your go to soft plastic swimbaits, size, shape, make and what do you think makes a good soft plastic swimbait? If you have pics of your favourite soft palstic swimbaits, please post them and tell me what you like most about that bait? My opinion is , I only use braid on my swimbait setups, I use Sunline SX1 30-50lb and I fish some of the clearest waters in South Africa and, I always catch fish, I also fish dirty water, no issues. About it being noisy, Im not sure as I think that will depend on what make braid you use, but I really dont think it will make a huge difference. Thats just my two cents worth, I am fairly new to the swimbait game, but I have only had luck with swimbaiting, maybe Im just lucky!! Hahaha!!
