So, I went out Sunday morning with my new Slyguy Crappie. First of all, go get you one of these. Such an amazing gill glide. I know you've all seen the pics, but the paint jobs on these baits are incredible and the action is better than any gill glide I've ever seen. Anyways.... I was out at my local pond, fishing the crappie. It was extremely windy and the water clarity was null. I knew I was gonna have a hard time getting a glide bite, so I switched over to the 7inch Bull Shad. Figured if I was gonna get bit, it would be a reaction bite. So I start burning the bank. 5th cast, I burn it over a drain pipe, stop, BOOM!!! 6.00lbs she literally choked it. 20.5inches stuffed with shad. I unhooked her, documented her and let her go. I was felling pretty amped and threw my next cast a lot deeper than I had wanted to, so I started burning it back in. 1 pause after a long run. BOOM!!!! I couldn't believe it, out deep, away from any structure..23 inches. 8.05lbs of beautiful pre spawn, shad slamming mama!! Documented, gave her a kiss, and she swam away.
