Forgot to mention a good test on any poorly performing jointed bait is to hold it in your hand by the lip or head and slowly wiggle the joints. Sometimes the joint or V shape is cut unevenly etc causing one side of the v to hit the joint in front of it quicker than the other side. I have had a couple of slammers like that, and they are now money after sanding. We are not talking about alot of sanding just a little.
