dan-k
I have a BBZ, but have never got bit on it. What would be better in warmer water when more action is required? Triple trout? Other?

Luke V.
Triple trouts will get you bit. I have had the most success on SS 6" fs trout, and SS fs shad.

dan-k
Triple trouts will get you bit. I have had the most success on SS 6" fs trout, and SS fs shad. The fs is 3:16, right? Hard to find, but if they get bit I'll start looking

I haven't fished the TT, but read nothing but great things about them. Lots of local people I talk to run them as well. I just think they look ugly. If more action is required, try cranking it down...also move to the soft baits in the summer, like dragging 68s, Rising sons, blue gill, shad, weighted 3:16 minnow, hud shad.. in the heat I like to slow down and drag them and bump them off anything on the bottom.. when the lights go out.. whole different ball game.. dan-k
Anybody tried the cl8 bait? It looks legit and has some good reviews.
colbypearson
Anybody tried the cl8 bait? It looks legit and has some good reviews. I have the 9'' it swims really cool and unique, I dont personally like the hook set up I like modifying my baits too much to have a top hook poured into a hard bait, I havent got any on it but it is a cool bait. I really like triple trout's had a few big ones follow the last couple trips and lost a smallie pushing 6lbs two trips ago, triple trout's are just different something about them just gets bites. @Vedak TT's do look a little ugly, but after awhile throwing them you realize its such a simple yet functional design its a beautiful thing lol. I sure as heck know I wont ever forget the mental playbacks from big bait posse and southern trout eaters on the 10'' Triple Trout's!!! BASS
I am another big fan of the triple trout. I only have/fish the 10", but I had nights last summer where I got 5+ fish in an hour. Nothing huge, but a couple fives. I can post pics if I can find them, but its a really good bait. I think I wrote a review on it a while back on the review board so you can check that if ud like! Top Ramen
I haven't fished the TT, but read nothing but great things about them. . .I just think they look ugly. They don't win beauty contests, they just get bit. In fact, the uglier and more beat up they are, the better they seem to work.
