SwimbaitNOVA
not really gonna count a snagged fish but it was fun thinking I had a bass of a lifetime on for a minute there LOL. FishDr
I bet it pulled like a horse. Did it jump as well?
dheath2
Dude that's still cool. No green fish of the sunfish family will ever pull like those things do. Hmoob

Did it jump as well? no jumps, guessing its because he was hooked in the tail. it made several runs across the entire pond though! He probably pulled out 50 yards of braid with locked drag 3-4 times. My adrenaline was through the roof, definitely the biggest fish i've ever caught! Hmoob, SethMuffinson and FishDr
SethMuffinson
Carp pull so hard. Snagged one on a crankbait on the side of the face once. Only a small one tho! Couldnt imagine a 40lb! FishDr
PKNNH
Carp are such a wild ride when you snag one. Can't imagine the thoughts going through your mind when you first snagged it and thought it was a bass!

Couldnt imagine a 40lb! The biggest striper I ever hooked on the Sacramento Delta turned out to be a tail-hooked 15-lb carp. Until I first saw that broad bronze tail a good 15 minutes into the fight, I was convinced that I was being dragged around by a 30+ striper! It still took 10 more minutes and a few facefuls of water to bring the beast to hand — I wanted my jig back!
