yev14
I've been getting consistent action on the Tater Hog Moonshiner Wake and the 2 Faced Crappie in the past month, last night was out for 3 hours after dark and picked up 2 bass, was just about ready to call it a night - made "one last cast" and the water exploded on the Moonshiner. I never caught a Gar before and I've fished for a LONG time . Thing was absolutely crazy - the line was wrapped around it's mouth and it was an a real adventure trying to get it unhooked. I always take a Musky Hookout tool with me and between that and a good deal of profanity the fish was released and I got the Moonshiner back. All in all I'd rather catch Bass Edited August 8, 2019 by yev14 FishDr, apburninup, blackdynamite and 3 others
Noreaster603
Those armor plated scales are no joke, I got one stuck in my hand while trying to unhook a gar before. They are fun to catch and that looks like a good sized one, the unhooking part.... Not so much. Glad you got your moonshiner back in one piece. yev14
