CombatWombat
What baits are you gonna try and weigh? Changing to thicker/bigger hooks will change the ROF. You can also use lead tapes, dots and wires.
mmasturgeon
I use Tungsten Putty to change the ROF because you can easily mold it in the cavity of the bait; I been using it on all my swimbaits that I mod and yes hooks dose change the ROF too. Charlie 2una
ive already upsized the hooks and have also gone to a thicker gauge. this has not done much to achieve the ROF that i desire. mattlures hardbaits, nate's baits, hudds im happy with my 316 ROFs i would like to concentrate more on the hardbaits, as i tend to throw those more than anything. i would also like to be accurate with my modifications. i will probably weigh everything i add. where can i get this putty? mmasturgeon
tacklewarehouse >> It works great on most hard bait. It is very easy to use on hudds as you can mold it as you see fit. good Luck!!!
Charlie 2una
are there substitutes to this putty? the reason being, is i would like to paint these parts, or atleast cover them up again.
Spectrum
wrap lead wire around the shank of the treble hooks to add weight. suspend dots or suspend strips, you could paint them I suppose and then stick them on the bait.
