The reel is used and looks like it, but in terms of casting, retrieve, and power - it's all there and more. One of the handle knobs has a little play, but it's never caused me any issues, but full disclosure, I'm putting it out there. It has been recently cleaned and lubed and is ready to take on some big fish and big baits. It has upgraded BOCA hybrid ceramic spool bearings and carbontex drag washers for incredible stopping power - it's a beast of a reel and tosses the big stuff like a champ.
