Toro blanco Posted February 22, 2020 Report Share Posted February 22, 2020 Nates baits got bit today. First I got my first bite and landed a 3.3 pound spot. Then I went to to the spot a got a 9.01 to see what would happen. I kid you not! My first cast to the same spot I got my P.B. I let it drop to the bottom and start to reel in. Then "THUMP" I was a 12/0 beast hook so I swung harder than normal. It came out but I did not stop reeling and "BOOM" even harder than the 9 pounder! I started reeling and about 5 second into the fight I felt her tug hard and she "Broke Me Off". I was in SHOCK as I was using 25lb seaguar abrx. I have my drag tight, after this I think I will play with it a little. It is the only thing I can think I did wrong. I just hope she was able to shake it off. She must have been a real deal monster! I was so happy to get my first fish on the Nates bait too, but loosing that one hurt! Lol!
