There is a lure I've read about, They call the Rising Son, And it's been used to catch so many fish, That I just had to buy one. My Rising Son was awesome, I rigged it up just right, And threw it all around the clock, But never stuck a bite. I asked the SU crew what to do, They told me to throw it some more, But I'll be honest I wanted to cry, And pound my head on the floor. 'Til this morning I went fishing, Missed four fish in a row, Wanted to burn my Rising Son, But instead I continued to throw. And then it finally happened, A fish loaded on just right, I set the hook and reeled quite fast, And everything stayed tight. So my first fish ain't no monster, But it is still my first, And now I can say with a lighter heart, That I've broken the curse! So I'm unsure just what to do, The fish still have me beat, But now I can throw the lure some more, And hope for a repeat! Finally, after throwing the RS for 6+ months and missing more fish than I care to admit, I stuck one. There's still something I'm doing that's not right - I had at least 6 solid hits on it today and missed or lost the fish, but I'll just keep chuckin'.
