Mossypumpkin
Copy and pasting this from my Facebook post lol Well, my vacation is winding down and ending with snow today. It was a good week, despite losing a 7-8lber at the yak. Tried some new water that paid off. Learned some more about the spots I’ve been fishing. Must have caught a couple hundred fish this week....mostly 3-4lb range, including a 5-1, 5-6, and 5-8, that came on the bull wake, Biggfeast, and wake jr, respectively. The wake bite turned on and went on a tear with the perch JR. Broke two baby wakes this week, and lost a tk and a Biggfeast. Still worth it. The hunt for big fish is amazing. Alex
Losing big baits hurts but gaining knowledge with a big fish at the fb if the line is all well worth it!!! A couple hundred fish equals couple of years for me lol! Always impressed how tuned you’re with the fish, you seem to find them! Congrats on your vacay....snow in May? That’s not SoCal lol! When I shore bang it’s usually standing on a bridge or rock wall. Was bringing in a fish and it shook the bait and slingshotted back at me, broke the tail off a baby wake. Same area I cast a bit too far and ended up in the brush. Tied my line to a tree and went back the next day with the yak.....someone cut the line and took the bait. The other baby I snapped too hard out of the brush and that one came flying back into the yak and broke the lip. Then the tk I was river fishing a lot of rock....kept checking my line but it broke on a cast about 3’ up. I guess that’s life when you’re fishing 12 hour days CaliBassin
