Watched the 10” wake fish come right to the yak to eat it with 2’ or less of line out. One of the high 4s followed the slammer to the yak and then sunk out of sight. I pulled the ol’ Japanese Balam 300 trick on her, sloshing the bait back and forth. She rose from the depths and smashed it right beside me. It was a great day. Best 5 went 26-0. Lost a 4+ after she jumped out of the net. Lost a 5-6lber after dark on the 12” white slammer. They’ll be on beds any day now. It was fun while it lasted. These 5 went 5-14, 5-14, 4-14, 4-12, 4-10. I assume this was an immediate prespawn feed. Those fish were gone yesterday. Possibly went to beds.
