A tragic story

Soooo recently I got a deps 250 in the limited SU/swimbait 24/7 color way. Went out of my way and paid the bit extra cause I was into the color and felt it would produce at my spots. So first good session out with it on Friday I’m fishing hanging out and BOOM, absolute giant nails it pretty much sub surface. Landed the fish, came at 8lband some oz, absolutely epic. Went out today trying to get on em and within the first 20 minutes... PING I casted it off. Had to have had a Knick in the line or something stupid happened cause I’m pretty experienced on the water in general. IMMEDIATELY stripped down and went straight for it cause this isn’t the first time I’ve had this happen but I couldn’t find it, a random younger kid that was fishing the pond got me some goggles from his house and tried for like 10 minutes but it was way too deep where I lost the bait at. Sat at the pond just wondering what to do for like 30 minutes and gave up. A bit depressed and out a couple hundred.. but I guess that’s how the game goes. If anyone has a flash carp 250 they’re trying to sell let me know lol

Sucks man! Still a good story. How deep is it there ? You might just try to drag as much as possible with a deep crank or something that might grab the bait. Gonna be a needled in the haystack maybe but could get lucky. Just dedicate some time for recovery and cast away. Why not?!  Congrats on that fish!
