  1. 4 suspen strips on each hook shank made mine a slow sink
  2. Deps Bullshooter 160 if you have the rod for it (3.75oz), savage gear shine glide (the seven inch one), or gantarel
  3. Paint not much better than bullshad??? Mattlures and bullshad aren't even in the same league as far as I've seen. Mattlures puts out some of, if not, the best finishes at the sub $100 price point. Not sure how you could ever be disappointed with that type of finish on an $80 bait.
  4. Yeah I saw that thread awhile back. I'm wanting a bait to work really tight to docks to where the bait is basically walking back and forth on itself. Almost like a K9 but in a big gill profile.
  5. Anyone have a swim vid on these? Thanks.
  6. Megabass magdraft 8", hudd 68, mattlures hammertail gill, and 3:16 rising sons for softies. +1 on the gantarel, spro rat 50, and savage gear shine glide 7.25. Black dog baits shellcracker g2 are also good. You only really need one bait in each category to start off with (boot tail softie, wedge tail softie, glide, wake and crank, multi piece, etc.). Get a couple proven baits and stick with them. If you have too many baits, you overcomplicate it.
  7. bullshooter 160, hardgill, savage gear shine glide, and bullshad baits are all solid. You could also get baits in a slimmer profile that are just painted in a bluegill pattern.
  8. I think it comes down to maintaining brand perception. Artificially limiting the supply leads to the consumer thinking the product is more special than it really is. If baits were constantly sitting on the site there wouldn't be the same allure. Same thing happens with brands like Supreme or Jordan. Most of the sneaker enthusiasts don't want a Jordan shoe that you can just walk into foot locker and buy off the shelf. Plus retail price for DRT baits is already high as is.
  9. Given those two rod choices and that you said you're looking for a mostly hardbait rod, I would say go with the 806. 807 is more for jighook baits.
  10. 509 represent! Great fish

Flipped under this tree and got this little guy to eat the gill
  12. First couple fish of 2020 all on the yunique gill. Broke one off about the same size as these but got my bait back
