I was looking for a Backpack desinged for Fishing and came across this.

It looks very functional for cruising the shore.

Not so bulky, it's light, just over a pound in weight.

I was going to grab the BackPack from a certain online retailer but its not avaliable at the momment.

What do you guys think about this?

thanks

I know this is a lot more expensive but it is the best in the business. Simms gear is known to be some of the most durable and reliable stuff on the planet, plus you can dump this thing in the lake and everything will stay 100% dry, so if you ever plan on fishing in the rain get this one.

Yep! Pass 35 years i've had 2, but spend the extra bucks an get a mahogany made basket and you'll never have too by another one. As far as protecting it from the weather, a trash bag does just fine 8-)

Jansport or quicksilver :lol:8-)

+1, Volcom or Under Armour

Just make sure whatever it is its comfratable wearing for the time period you will fish. Im still getting use to fishing with a backpack on, I dont like it but its either that or taking it off and putting it back on as I move down the shoreline.

Evergreen makes a cool side bag like the other one in ebay. It can be worn 3 different ways and can hold a plano 3700 with a few other things...

You're the best Grizz! Got me chuckling out loud.

I meant no offense by the wicker basket comment. Hopefully it didn't come off that way? I thought maybe the link was a mistake. I've just never seen them used for fishing.:? I love it :D !

That reminds me of a couple of old guys I met, fishing from shore a few years ago. They had an old milk crate as a tackle box, I looked at them a bit perplexed; as it was just not something I had seen before. But, I was friendly as they passed. Other guys were actually snickering, and making crappy comments under their breath as these guys walked passed. :x (elitist jerks, all decked out with fancy name brand schtuff  )

I was fishing for largemouth for sport, they were meat fishing for white bass. I couldn't touch a largemouth, but got into a couple white bass(still a blast!). So I went over to see if those ole boys wanted the few fish I was catching.(which they quickly culled out my dinks  ) They gladly accepted and I sat around chatting with those guys for quite a while. Two of the coolest ole guys I'd ever met, great sticks too, who I learned a TON from, in that short amount of time. They were knocking the socks off those A$$holes snickering at them! It was awesome!

Those numbnut brand-whores, making their crappy comments coulda learned a few things.............I sure did! ;)

Oops, got a bit off topic.

I use skate packs. There are many many models styles and colors to match what you think will fit your needs best and to carry your rods all you have to do is strap the lower handle of the rod into the lower skateboard holder then above the reel on the rod into the upper skateboard holder and bam! you got a rod holding bag. Most of them have a pretty good amount of room and external pockets for pliers etc.
